Terms and Conditions (Terms of Service)
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Meher – AI Companion mobile application ("App", "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease using the App and uninstall it from your device.
2. Eligibility & Age Requirements
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 16 years of age to use this App. This App is not intended for children or minors under 16 years old. If you are between 16 and 17 years old, you represent that you have parental or legal guardian consent to use the App.
- Age-Restricted Personas (16+ Gate): Certain personas within the App—specifically "Flirty" and "Toxic"—contain playful romantic teasing, intense banter, and mature conversational themes. Access to these modes requires an explicit in-app age confirmation confirming you are at least 16 years old.
- Representations: By using the App, you warrant and represent that:
- You have the full power and legal capacity to enter into these Terms (or have parental/guardian consent if between 16 and 17).
- You will not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
- Your use of the App does not violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
3. Nature of the AI Service & Crucial Disclaimers
3.1 Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
Meher is an Artificial Intelligence: You expressly acknowledge and understand that Meher is a simulated, artificial intelligence chatbot and virtual companion, not a human being. Any emotional connection, advice, opinions, statements, or conversational responses generated by Meher are computer-generated simulations created by deep-learning neural models. HoodAGI does not endorse or guarantee the accuracy, truthfulness, or appropriateness of any statement made by the AI companion.
CRITICAL SAFETY & MEDICAL DISCLAIMER:
Meher is NOT a crisis hotline, medical professional, licensed therapist, or psychologist.
• The App is intended solely for casual entertainment and companionship.
• Never use the App as a substitute for professional medical advice, mental health diagnosis, or emergency care.
• If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm impulses, or a medical crisis, please immediately dial your local emergency services (e.g., 911 in the US, 112 in the EU, 112 / 14416 in India) or contact a certified crisis helpline.
4. User Accounts & Security
To access the App and its features (such as personalized memory, voice calling, and credit sync), you must register and authenticate using an email address with verification or via Google Sign-In. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities occurring under your account.
5. Virtual Currency, Voice Minutes & Rewarded Ads
- In-App Quotas & Virtual Items: The App provides virtual units such as "Voice Minutes" and "Chat Messages".
- No Monetary Value: Virtual items are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable for real fiat currency, legal tender, or goods outside the App.
- Rewarded Advertisements: You may earn voice minutes and chat messages by voluntarily watching third-party rewarded video advertisements provided via Google AdMob. Any automated ad clicking, emulator spoofing, or fraudulent manipulation of ad rewards will result in immediate account termination.
6. Acceptable Use Policy & Prohibited Conduct
You agree that you will NOT use the App to:
- Transmit, generate, or prompt content that promotes self-harm, suicide, violence, terrorism, hate speech, unlawful harassment, or discrimination.
- Engage in or promote any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child exploitation, or harm to minors.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract neural network weights, models, source code, or proprietary algorithms of the App.
- Use automated scrapers, bots, crawlers, or unauthorized scripts to extract data or inject fake traffic.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All intellectual property rights in the App—including but not limited to the "Meher" brand name, character personas, visual design, animations, source code, neural model configurations, UI designs, and logos—are the exclusive property of HoodAGI and its licensors.
8. Third-Party Services & Integrations
The App integrates with reputable third-party services:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): For serving advertisements and rewarded video ads.
- Google Play Services & Firebase: For push notifications, analytics, and authentication.
- On-Device Neural Runtimes: Powered by open-source libraries (Sherpa-ONNX, ONNX Runtime, Piper TTS) running under their respective permissive open-source licenses.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
THE APP AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL HOODAGI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS) ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP.
10. Termination & Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in New Delhi, India.
